This is a huge site, on the Hume Weir, just 15 minutes from Albury or Wodonga.

Plenty of established shade trees and places to stop over. There are toilets, tables, BBQ's, boat ramps. Swimming, skiing, fishing, boating. A shop and petrol at entry to Reserve.

Camping is PROHIBITED at ALL Hume Weir reserves!
by: Bussed 'n' Loose

The status quo for All reserves on Lake Hume, for I believe Both States.... is Prohibited.
Although you can stay 1 maybe 2 Nights if resting from travel.
This is a sad indicator of vested interests controlling the situation for their own gain.
There are some beautiful spots around the Lake and it is a shame to see them restricted in this way.

Scumbags Haven next to Boathaven.
by: Bran Jenkin

Took the kids there last weekend end for a swim. I went there a lot as a kid myself, swimming and fishing. Drove around a bit looking for a good spot, but every time we stopped and got out of the car there were smashed bottles and rubbish everywhere. Very disapointed. A few years back, Kookaburra point was one of the best places to go. Now it's crap.
I thought it was supposed to be a glass free zone.
So, if you are a local no hoper yobbo and you're looking for a place to chew up with your 4 wheel drive and get drunk and smash bottles everywhere without the pressure of getting busted, then look no further. Kookaburra Point, once a safe and fun place for families, is now the scumbags haven.

Where abouts is Kookaburra Point. Cant find it listed any where. Sounds really nice and would like to know how to find it once you get to Lake Hume.
