Port Julia, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia
(Port Julia, South Australia)
The jetty and Red Shed
$10 per night per site or $60 per week. Great value. Basic bush camping with a bit of glam. 3 loos kept very clean by on-site caretakers. Dump point. BBQ area. Bore water. Large sites. Tents, car campers, camper trailers, motorhomes, caravans, big rigs no problems. Closest town water obtained 15klms to the south at Port Vincent foreshore or park so come into camp full. There is a small amount of drinking water only available to campers but cannot fill vans etc. There are no shops at Port Julia - shopping at Port Vincent or Ardrossan for closeness.
Walk to the jetty for squidding, netting crabs and fishing. Swimming beach, walks, boat ramp and more. Low tide means crab raking and razor fish picking.
The 1913 jetty and Red Shed are Heritage Listed.
Heaps of things to do here as well as using camp as a base for exploring.
